Sentul East Masterplan - A Vision of Future Communities
The forthcoming digital era in the mid 21st Century will be once again redefine the role of architecture in the future communities, in the near future we anticipated the boundary betwen virtual and reality becoming blur. People immersing in digital devices shaped them into beings that craves for instantenous return, everything is going on in such a fast paced that they would be confused by the constant shift of realities. Thus, the 21st new city should respond to such trend, as such the impermanence and fluidity of society would organically shapes and reflect in the masterplanning of cities. Imagine living units that able to shift and move as instantenous as the human desire, lush green reserve on the ground that host a diversity of flora and fauna, multiple colonies that work as one ecosystem, self sustain technology that keeps the city alive, a city that allows the digital trend to further amalgates into people’s life but also promotes physical interaction. This would be the city of the future, a dynamic city of hearts and desire. The impermanence and changes of human desire redefines the city.

“I walked along the streets of the new Sentul city, the structures are humongous, everything has changed. I walked to my old school, Sjk (C) Chi Man, it is replaced with a public park. As a looked up , I discovered a large void punctured through the dense steel structures, this all feels familiar with me, the education hub, the school bells, the laughter of the children. I guess the my memories are still preserved, moving in another vessel. As I was enjoying the bath of sun rays, the sky starts getting dim and the rain ensues. “Hey wassup peeps I just moved into this cool place called the XYZ city, it’s 2050 guys this is what we literally call living in the future! The houses here reads your intention by analysing your daily routines then brings you close to the communities with same thought.
